Brief

Show localised SMEs in Manchester that Square is the payment partner that understands their challenges and is there to help them - as well as securing new sales leads.

Idea

We created Reel Manchester, a competition where three local businesses could win a split of a £30K ad campaign across Manchester's biggest billboards alongside a professional ad shoot to tool them up with a new social media reel and advertising campaign. We worked with I<3MCR to secure premium OOH listings and drummed up interest with guerilla activities at street level with our accompanying 'Reels on Wheels' bikes that toured specific areas of the city, displaying bespoke neighbourhood-specific marketing campaigns.

Keeping it Reel Local

Reel Manchester challenged us to find a way to talk to hyper local communities, and to establish an authentic relationship between brand and neighbourhood. By researching the areas, businesses and people we were talking to, we were able to develop highy personalised and very effective advertising, ensuing that take up within these communities was maximised.
